About Us

The Central California District Export Council (CCDEC) is a diverse group of volunteer trade professionals dedicated to helping you develop export sales and thus contribute to the National Export Program.

We provide leadership and trade expertise to complement the U.S. Commercial Service’s export promotion work.

We represent the interests of the U.S. exporting community and provide business mentoring on the export process, trade education through the Export-U.com training website, plus workshops, seminars, and community outreach to encourage local firms to export.

We follow a value and results-driven approach to serve as a model for fellow District Export Councils nationally and adhere to the goals of:

  1. Promoting export opportunities
  2. Advocating trade promotion policies
  3. Supporting businesses in achieving export successes

We invite you to reach out, attend our events, and use us as a resource to help grow your export sales.

Mentoring

The CCDEC offers free mentoring to companies in our region. Our members each have special international trade knowledge they are eager to share to help businesses in our state develop export sales.

Initiatives

CCDEC initiatives are organized into four categories:

  • Resources: works closely with the Fresno U.S. Export Assistance Center to organize export-oriented training designed to benefit our local companies.
  • Education: reaches out to students and educators around Central California to discuss the benefits of trade-oriented careers.
  • Social Media: develops innovative means of communicating with our region’s global business community.
  • Trade Policy & Legislative Affairs: maintains relations with our elected leaders, keeping them abreast of the export community’s policy concerns and aspirations.

Members

CCDEC members have special expertise in international trade, and are dedicated to helping businesses in our state develop global sales.

Member Nominations

Members of CCDEC are volunteers appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce. Members serve four-year renewable terms. Nominations of individuals believed to be suitable candidates for membership should be forwarded to the DEC’s Executive Secretary for consideration.

The DEC also works closely with the U.S. Commercial Service to help companies develop sales in international markets.
